About
Søren Wilsted Christensen
Danish consultant based in Warsaw since 2008. Owner of NordicPoland, helping companies enter Poland, the Nordics, or both and from anywhere in the world.
18 years of first-hand experience in Poland, not as an observer, but as someone who has lived, worked and built businesses there. I know both the Nordic markets and the Polish market from the inside.

Danish
Born and raised in Denmark.
Background
I moved to Poland in 2008, first to Krakow, then to Warsaw and briefly to Bydgoszcz and back to the Polish capital again. Living in different cities and regions has given me an understanding of Poland that goes beyond the capital, including the cultural and business differences that exist within the country itself.
My first business venture in Poland was a healthcare recruitment company, run together with family. It was my first real encounter with Polish legislation and how business is structured and regulated in Poland. Over the years I also built and ran an event company and an e-commerce business selling Scandinavian-designed furniture to the Polish market, giving me hands-on experience of hiring in Poland, cross-border e-commerce, logistics and Polish consumer behaviour.
For several years I ran consulting operations under the names BizinPoland and BiziPolen, helping Nordic and other international companies navigate the Polish market. During that time I built a community of professionals with an interest in Poland and the Nordic markets, a community that has now grown to over 2400 members and continues under the NordicPoland brand.
My experience
Everything I offer at NordicPoland is built on real business experience in Poland, not “only” theory, not “just” research, but years of building and running companies on the ground in Poland and across borders incl. the Nordics.
E-commerce
Running an e-commerce business selling Scandinavian-designed furniture in Poland taught me the importance of language and localisation, and how Polish buying patterns differ significantly from Danish and other Scandinavian markets. What works in one market does not automatically work in another.
Event company
Running an event company in Poland meant hiring and managing local staff from day one. I learned how recruitment works in Poland, what employees expect, and how to build a team in a market with different workplace norms and expectations than Denmark.
Healthcare recruitment
A family venture into healthcare recruitment in Poland gave me my first deep encounter with Polish legislation and compliance requirements. Organising a business in a regulated sector in a foreign country teaches you a great deal about how the system works and how to navigate it.
Community building
Building a community of over 2,400 members showed me how diverse the interest in the Nordic and Polish markets really is. I learned what attracts people, what keeps them engaged, and how to organise events that create real value for members across different backgrounds and industries.
Biz in Poland, Biz i Polen and NordicPoland
Years of consulting under BizinPoland and BizinPolen and now NordicPoland have given me hands-on experience in lead generation, market entry and cultural advisory etc. across the Nordic and Polish markets. Every client engagement has added to a body of practical knowledge that I bring directly to the companies I work with today.
Why NordicPoland
I want to build a stronger bridge between Nordic and Polish companies and help other international businesses navigate both markets. Not just as a consultant, but as someone who genuinely believes that better cross-border understanding leads to better business. That combination of purpose and profession is what drives everything I do at NordicPoland.
